REPAIRS
BASIC SETUP:
General clean, restring, set bridge height & intonation:
$40+ $15 for a standard set of strings - or you can supply your own
FULL SETUP:
Thorough clean, condition fretboard, light fret polish, restring, adjust neck, set bridge height & intonation, adjust pickups, check & clean electrical parts:
$120 + $15 for a standard set of strings - or you can supply your own. Extra $20 for Floyd Rose style vibrato setups or 12-string guitars.
FRET DRESS:
Level, recrown & polish frets (includes Full Setup):
$200 +$15 for a standard set of strings - or you can supply your own.
COMPLETE REFRET:
Remove frets, clean slots & level fingerboard, install & dress new frets (includes Full Setup):
$450 ($160 extra for Gibson-style bound necks with nibs, $120 extra if Maple fretboard refinishing is required, $40 extra for stainless steel frets).
PARTIAL REFRET:
$80 per hour.
PICKUP INSTALLATION:
Routing of pickup cavities may be required:
$80 per hour
ELECTRONICS:
Replace jack/pots/switches/caps/all components/custom wiring:
$80 per hour
REPLACE NUT OR SADDLE:
Hand-shaping new nut & fitting to guitar
$120 (includes Basic Setup)
FINISHWORK:
Refinish Body and/or Neck in Gloss, Satin, Shellac, Oil or other coating
$80 per hour
OTHER MISCELLANEOUS MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS:
This may include dented, cracked, stood-on or smashed acoustic guitars, broken headstocks or any other misadventure that poor old, under-appreciated instruments may have suffered through
$80 per hour.

Here’s a list of common services and their approximate cost. Each instrument is different and prices can – and probably will - vary depending on its nature and how much work is required.
Other standard stringed instruments such as mandolins, banjos and ukeleles that need attention are all welcome at Riff Carnage Guitars.
I work fast and I will supply a fully itemised Tax Invoice. Prices quoted do not include cost of any parts or materials unless stated and do not include GST.
